In Your Own Words Women, a collaborative of women raising their voices in mutual support of self expression and well-being, was created with the intent of building and nurturing a community of self-expressed, vibrant women. “If Only I Knew Then What I Know Now” Women’s Stories of Discovery, the first book in our collaborative book series, marked our beginning and serves as our anchor, our foundation, as we move forward. Registration to contribute by writing your story for the second book in our series, “I Can Feel the Love” Women’s Stories of Connection, is currently open.
The mission of In Your Own Words Women is to provide a platform, build and nurture a community for women to express themselves and be heard through the power of the written word.
The vision we hold for our community is to bring women together who want to ‘be heard’ and offer them a platform, guidance and encouragement to express themselves so they can share their stories, impart their wisdom; teach, move and inspire others.
Our vision includes opportunities for our members to grow, share and flourish; to nourish one another, and expand their connections with other courageous, vibrant women who aspire to express their stories of wisdom, feelings, trials and triumphs. We believe a society of self-expressed women will change the world one story at a time.
